Slash E Simpson
Black Labrador Retriever | April 25, 2018 – present
Also known as Slashybear, SlashtheLabrador, or simply Slashy, this five-year-old powerhouse is our lead working dog at HT Dog Training. Slash has an extraordinary gift for reading other dogs and offering exactly what they need—whether it’s space, play, or calm reassurance. He works daily with dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds, helping them learn through his steady presence and clear communication.
Slash is also a devoted big brother to Harvey, our youngest team member. He’s patient, playful, and always ready to teach—whether it’s modeling good behavior or chasing each other around the backyard. Their bond is full of fun and learning, and it’s a joy to watch Slash guide Harvey as he grows into his role.
Outside of work, Slash is a sweet, playful boy who enjoys backyard adventures, walks with his male human, and playdates with his best friend Cooper.
Cooper Hanson
Chocolate Labrador Retriever | March 12, 2020 – present
Affectionately known as Coopy, Boop, Squeaky, Meatball, or Mr. Cooper, this joyful chocolate Lab is Slash’s best friend and a rising star in our working dog team. Cooper began shadowing Slash at just nine weeks old and officially joined the crew in Fall 2020. He brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a love for life that helps client dogs feel safe and seen. Cooper lives with his humans, Ingrid and Chris, and we’re so grateful to have his sweet spirit on board.
Harvey James Simpson
Black Labrador Retriever | February 14, 2025 – present
Nicknamed Harv, Harvinator, or Hurricane Harvey, this energetic pup is Slash’s “little brother” and our newest working dog in training. At just 8 months old, Harvey is already showing incredible promise—demonstrating smart behaviors, quick learning, and a playful personality that lights up the room. He’s beginning to work with appropriate client dogs and is following in Slash’s paw steps beautifully. We’re thrilled to watch him grow into his role.
